Today, marks the end of one week stay back in my home country. I have spent most of the seven days doing absolutely nothing but mostly, sleeping and eating. It's kind of a tear in my heart as I won't get to live such an easy going life back in Singapore.
At this post, I will just be briefly speaking about 7 days trip which I spent with my family.
While I was in ferry, I was sort of excited and animated as I have not been back home for the past 4 months, so naturally, I miss my parents, my brother as well as the house itself.
Due to excitement, a forty-five minutes of ferry ride feels like eternity.
After what seems to be eternity, I finally 'landed' in Batam. I was picked up by my bro and his girlfriend and after a fifteen minutes car rides, I was greeted with home cooked steak cooked by my beloved mom.
I must say, the steak befits a 5-stars restaurant cooking. They are honestly delectable. Especially because they are deer meat cooked to perfection, they taste fantastically appetizing. The meat is soft and tender and they cooked with love, hence it explains how tasty they are.
After eating what seems to be a dinner/late lunch, I suggested to my bro and his girlfriend to have a dessert. As he suggested that there was a Independence Day promotion in MacDonald where we could purchase anything and we will receive a free Indonesian themed ice cream and I, being a fan of MacDonald for as far as I could remember, readily agreed to his proposal. So, our journey to MacDonald commenced promptly and of course, we were rewarded with tasty ice creams.
And after the errr, dessert session, we went home and played billiards for a couple of hours. Which afterwards, we went home and sleep and that's the end of the first day.
Next, errr, let me just skip to the fourth day.
Honestly, the second and third day wasn't even worth the mentioning
because I spent that one day without doing a single thing. I was in the
house except for the fact that I went to eat pudding in the night time. I
will just share it with you.
They are kinda bland, but oh well. Let's skip to the fourth day.
So,
on the fourth day, dad decided to bring us to go and eat seafood.
Whenever you are here, in Batam, all you gotta try is the seafood. They
are very reasonably priced and very delish. Trust me, I am engineer.
But, before we head the seafood food place, we went to drink dragon
fruit juice and there I met my love. She was very cute and because of
her cuteness, I didn't have any chance to take picture of the dragon
fruit juice. Let us see how cute she is.
Isn't
she cute?? Omg, she is staring until my soul. She is just so
irresistible. The moment I laid my eyes on her, I had to hug her and I
had to play her.
Alright let's go back to the seafood. After having our Dragon Fruit juice, we went ahead to the Kelong.
It
was scenic and relaxing, the air around the area is fresh. Due to the
fact that it is very isolated from the urbanized area, it's very quiet
and kinda comfortable to be in. We ordered few dishes and most notably,
crayfish. In case, if you have never seen a crayfish before, I will just
show you.
They
swims as though as they are going into opposite direction but that's
their butt. Oh well, regardless of how they swim, they are going to be
eaten by me anyway. - devil horn and muahahah-
Right,
we had our fill in the kelong and the food there are one of a kind. The
seafood are fresh as they are freshly caught from the sea. The crab, the
fish and conch. Fresh from the sea!
After
the heavy meal, I spotted a rare, once in a lifetime kind of portable
ice cream shop. Of course, without hesitation, my bro and I decided to
indulge in the meager dessert. And without hesitation, we buy them and
finished it very quickly.
After eating, we headed home and as it
was already kinda late, we headed home to rest and sleep. This marks the
end of fourth day.
